Do you want your sunglasses with glare or without?
Almost all sunglasses are designed to reduce the amount of light that enters the eye. Polarising lenses do that, plus they also cut out reflected light. This makes vision far more comfortable in situations where there is a lot of reflected light.
Skiing, boating/watersports and driving are three examples of where there canĀ there can be a lot of glare. While a normal sunglass with help to reduce the amount of light entering the eye, it won't cut out the reflected light.
