We can supply almost any type of lens you can think of. The choice is yours!
The lenses in your eyewear are just as important as the frames you put them in, which means there’s almost just as many types of lens to choose from!
Your lenses from Major Opticians will be supplied by Essilor, one of the world’s leading brands in lens manufacturing. As it is the lenses themselves that are responsible for correcting your vision, it is important that they are of the highest quality to give you an excellent visual experience.
When you order new lenses, you can be sure that they’re tailored to you; our state-of-the-art Visioffice machine allows us to measure your lenses to ensure they’re the perfect fit. What’s more, we can even assess your head posture and the position in which you naturally wear your glasses, to ensure that you always experience maximum comfort as well as improved vision.
Whether you’re after single vision or multifocal lenses, we have a comprehensive range for you to choose from in practice. Essilor’s S Series lenses are the latest multifocal option, giving the clearest field of vision ever achieved with this type of lens, and can be combined with the frame design of your choice.
Additionally, there are a variety of tints and coatings available. If you spend a lot of time outdoors or in the car, you might benefit from anti-reflection coated lenses, which help to reduce glare and improve visibility. Equally, photochromic lenses – which are clear indoors and darken in the sun – allow you to have the best of both worlds in one pair of glasses.
Do you work in an office? If so, you could benefit from the aptly named ‘office lenses’. These are specifically configured to allow comfortable vision whether you’re looking at close-up computer work, or a colleague on the other side of the room. Ask one of our team for more information, and they’ll be happy to answer any queries you might have.
